ArtMatch Print™
ArtMatch Print™ is my trademark for a print that I customize to match the surroundings in which it is to hang. For example, a photo of a white rose can be changed subtly or radically to compliment the wall color in a corporate, home, or other setting. I may be able to make the rose appear to be yellow or peach, flaming red, purple or any number of other colors. Ask me about it.
Gicleé
Gicleé is a marketing term invented to help inkjet prints gain acceptance. Gicleé does not describe one particular process or printer. Early inkjet prints were prone to fading and color shift. Many, if not most contemporary dye-based inkjet prints won't last all that long. However, with the advent of pigmented ink-sets used in certain inkjet printers along with special papers to be used with them, prints that are properly cared for can last dozens or even hundreds of years. They also have outstanding print quality and look terrific. When I say a print is a PermaPrint™ it will be a Gicleé print made with pigmented inks that will last a long, long time if cared for properly.
PermaPrint™
PermaPrint™ is my trademark for long lasting, high quality inkjet prints sometimes referred to as gicleé prints (see Gicleé, above). The pigmented inks and papers I use have been independently tested and the predicted life of the prints before noticeable fading or color shift occurs can be over 100, 200, or even 300 years in some cases. The testing to which I refer is performed primarily by Wilhelm Research.
Photo print, photographic print, etc.
Much of my work can be printed either as Gicleé (see Gicleé, above) prints or printed on traditional photographic paper. In the latter case--photo print, photographic print, etc.--I usually use a Lightjet printer which employs LASER light to image my digital file to Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper which is then wet processed in the same manner it would be if an enlarger was used to project a negative onto it in a darkroom. Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper has the longest life of all color photographic papers currently available. Prints made on Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper should look fine for 60-70 years if properly cared for.
