In 2005 I went to Thailand for a month. I also went to Death Valley during the peak of the wildflower season and 2005 was by all accounts the best year ever for wildflowers. I have made self-propelled slide shows of each trip in the form of QuickTime movies which you can download to your computer and play whenever you like. The pictures change from one to the next automatically. The Thailand slide show is narrated by yours truly. The Death Valley slide show has title slides and music. The slide shows require the QuickTime player in order to view them. You may already have QuickTime player on your computer but if not there is a FREE version available for PC and Mac from Apple. The slide shows will download to your computer as zip files. Once unzipped they will be QuickTime movies as indicated by the .mov extension. Double click to open and press the space bar to start and stop the show. More options are available via the menu. These slide shows are sizable--they will download in a minute or so with a broadband connection but if you have a dialup connection you may find they take over an hour to download. Enjoy. |
